Prof. Ir. J.W. Saputro, MSc, MBA, PhD is a professor of informatics, institutional leader, and internationally experienced advisor with a strong focus on technology, research, and public policy. He completed his Ph.D. at University of Wisconsin–Madison and has taught extensively in the United States, as well as in Canada, Brazil, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

After spending 21 years in the United States, he has been increasingly active in Indonesia since 2011, where he has played key roles in establishing and leading major national and international initiatives. His combined academic, executive, and advisory background equips him to support organizations in research ecosystem development, innovation strategy, digital transformation, and advanced technology adoption.
